How to calculate how many woven bags can be produced per tonne of woven fabric roll
For many customers, production costs are a very important factor to consider. Production costs include many aspects such as raw materials, labour costs, direct labour (e.g. wages, benefits), direct manufacturing costs (e.g. machine depreciation, energy consumption, maintenance costs), direct selling and administrative costs (e.g. transport, packaging). One thing that customers are very concerned about in the woven bag making industry is how much finished product can be produced from raw materials. So next I will show how to calculate.
First of all, we should know that there are two different production methods for making woven bags. One is to start the production from PP granule, through the extruding-weaving-laminating-printing-cutting-sewing to become woven bag, which belongs to the whole PP woven bag(sack) production line.
The other is to buy woven fabric rolls directly and produce woven bags after printing-cutting-sewing.
Whichever way of production, the woven fabric rolls need to be cut and sewn. So calculating how many finished bags can be produced from one tonne of woven fabric rolls becomes a concern for many customers. The number of finished products produced depends on the size of the finished bag and the unit weight. The larger the size of a finished bag and the heavier the unit weight, the fewer finished products can be produced per woven fabric roll.
We can take an example, the size of a finished woven bag is 75cm * 45cm, the unit weight is 75g / m2, then the area of a finished bag is (0.75 + 0.05) m * 0.45m * 2 = 0.72 m2(here it should be noted that the length of the increase of 5cm is because the bottom of the bag needs to be folded before sewing, so you need to set aside at least 5cm length; *2 because the woven bag has two sides, so you need to *2). Knowing the area, we can calculate the weight of a finished bag as 0.72m2 * 75g/m2 = 54g. After calculating the weight of a bag, we can calculate how many finished bags can be produced from one tonne of woven fabric rolls: 1000kg/54g = 18,500.
This is the number of finished bags that can be produced from one tonne of woven fabric roll. When we calculate the number, and we know the price of one tonne of woven fabric roll, we can calculate the cost of each woven bag. Of course, this result is only a rough calculation, the actual number of bags that can be produced will be less than the calculation result, because there will be raw material loss in the production process, so this calculation result is only as a reference.
